Giving Back to the Community
Key to the strategic vision of the RBC Canadian Open, RBC and Golf Canada have committed to generating $5 million over five years in support of children’s wellness in Canada. The 2009 RBC Canadian Open raised a record $1.1 million dollars for children’s charities. As part of this vision, the RBC Canadian Open welcomed the Mike Weir Foundation as the event’s National Charity Partner while Holland Bloorview has been named the 2010 Local Charity Partner for Toronto Region. Proceeds from the RBC Canadian Open will help provide a lasting legacy in both the event’s host community as well as communities across the country.
