Did you know… Data capacity for
Bell Mobility’s new, state-of-the-art high-speed wireless network – Canada’s
fastest and largest – has been more than doubled for the area in and around the
RBC Canadian Open.
Did you know... With more than
5 terabits of bandwidth flowing out of St. George’s Golf & Country Club,
Bell’s fibre optic network provides all voice, data and broadcast services for
fans, media, athletes and officials from around the world, and is the backbone
that enables all RBC Canadian Open connectivity.
Did you know... Bell deploys more
than 100 high-speed facilities and 10 kilometres of cable – equivalent to 100
football fields – in its telecommunication network for the RBC Canadian Open at
St. George’s Golf & Country Club.
Did you know... The fibre optic
network is composed of up to 864 individual fibre strands at any single
location (each strand thinner than a piece of string) and capable of up to
40,000 data transmissions per second.
