Welcome to the 2012 RBC Canadian Open
RBC and Golf Canada are proud to present the 103rd playing of Canada’s National Open Golf Championship at the historic Hamilton Golf & Country Club. Throughout its storied history, the RBC Canadian Open has shaped the face of professional golf in Canada. Many of golf’s greatest names have claimed the Canadian Open title including Byron Nelson, Arnold Palmer, Sam Snead, Greg Norman, Nick Price, Tiger Woods, Vijay Singh, Jim Furyk and defending champion Sean O’Hair.
As the National Sports Organization (NSO) and governing body of golf in Canada, our mission is to grow participation, excellence, and passion in the sport while upholding the integrity and traditions of the game.

Schedule of Events
Practice Rounds
Players will have the option of playing a practice round at Hamilton Golf & Country Club on Monday 7:00 am – 11:00 am and 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm. On Tuesday, the course is available for practice rounds all day. Players electing to play a full round of golf generally begin somewhere between 7:00 am and 1:00 pm.
Pro-Am
The Monday Pro-Am will be played using both the 1st and 10th tees with starting times from 12:30 pm – 2:00 pm. The field will consist of up to 26 teams of one professional and three amateur playing partners.
The RBC Wealth Management Championship Pro-Am will be held on Wednesday and will consist of up to 52 teams, each with one professional and three amateurs. Play will commence off both the 1st and 10th tees beginning at approximately 7:00 am with the last tee time at approximately 2:00 pm.
Championship Rounds 1 and 2
Play is scheduled to begin at 7:20 am off both the 1st and 10th tees. The last pairing each day will begin at approximately 2:00 pm and finish at approximately 6:30 pm.
Championship Rounds 3 and 4
The first starting time will be determined by the number of players who make the cut (70 players with the lowest scores including ties will make the cut). Play will begin off the 1st tee at approximately 8:00 am with the last pairings starting at approximately 2:00 pm, finishing at approximately 6:00 pm.
